Googlebook is a new laptop line that is based on Gemini and interaction with the Android eco-system. It blends artificial intelligence, Google Play apps and technologies to take over phone activities on your computer, and offers models from Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP and Lenovo. Prices start at $899.
What Makes Googlebook Different?
As integration with Gemini Intelligence, you can choose items with the pointer to ask questions, produce content or compare facts. Rambler converts dictated voice to more organized text, adds formatting and removes superfluous language.
It also has content-based file search, suggestions based on what you’re seeing on screen, and Gemini Live, which includes voice discussions and screen sharing.
Other hardware features Google mentions include 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage in the base models, materials like as aluminum and magnesium, a dedicated G key for search and the Glowbar that shows the battery and charge status. Some AI features rely on the country, language and age of the user.

The cheapest is the Acer and it has the combination in question with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The Lenovo impresses with its larger screen. All models come with a dedicated Titan C or C2 security chip and a fingerprint reader, HP and Lenovo also offer facial recognition.
How Does Android Integration Work?
The laptop shares three things with your smartphone:
- Cast My Apps: launch phone apps on your Googlebook.
- Continue On: lets you pick up a task on your laptop where you left off on your phone.
- Fast Access: allows access to files on your smartphone without manual transfer.
You’ll need to set it up on a phone that’s running Android 17 or later. Google Play offers leisure, creativity and productivity apps.
What Happens to Chromebooks?
Each device receives individual support for ChromeOS upgrades and security patches until mid-2034.
A lot of Chromebooks released recently might be able to be migrated to Googlebook OS but the list of qualified models isn’t available yet. Googlebook’s management capabilities for businesses and schools will begin rolling out in the second half of 2027.
When will Googlebook be available?
Other sites mention a one year Google AI Pro trial with 5 TB cloud storage, conditions apply. First deliveries are scheduled in early October 2026 in launch markets.
